Welcome!
I am a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at Ohio Wesleyan University.
I earned my PhD in Social and Personality Psychology at UT Austin and my Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Psychology at Johns Hopkins University. Broadly, I am interested in the role of emotion in social interactions, with a focus on how individuals use language to express and manage emotions. I am also passionate about teaching and mentorship and have taught classes in research methods, introductory psychology, personality psychology, and a graduate course on best practices in college teaching.
When I'm not in the lab or the classroom, you can find me cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, trying a new recipe in the kitchen, or seeing my favorite bands perform live.
